You will stay in an exciting city and in a great Hostel/Hotel. The price includes bed linen as well as tax and in our single and double rooms we also provide you towels for your stay. Further we offer you our special MEININGER Service which includes daily cleaning in our rooms. Additionally you can enjoy our rich ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT breakfast at only 3,50€ (3,00 GBP).

We highly commend to book online (cheaper rates) and as soon as possible. However, of course you can visit us in our houses spontaneously and ask directly for a bed or room. You can cancel at anytime until 6 p.m. on your arrival day: Every cancellation or no show past 6 p.m. costs you 100% of the price of the first night. Just go through our terms & conditions to get more information.

You can pay cash or by ec/ maestro or credit card. However, we recommend paying in advance by credit card or a via bank transfer so your booking will be guaranteed in case you arrive later than 6 p.m.

You can arrive at any time. Your rooms are available for you until 6 p.m. If you give us your credit card details for your booking you also can arrive anytime past 6 p.m. and your room will still be guaranteed for you. However, in case you arrive very early and your room is not ready for you yet we are pleased to offer you our free language room. Your room is ready for you at 3 p.m. at the latest.

You should be ready to check out at 10 am so our housekeeping can clean and set up the room for the next guests. Nevertheless in Berlin as well as in Vienna we offer a Late-Check-Out special at an additional price of 5€ and you can stay in your room until 1 p.m.

At a price of only 3,50€ you can enjoy our rich ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT breakfast between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. during the week and between 7.30 a.m. and 11 a.m. at the weekend. We offer you a continental breakfast and in London you even get English breakfast with bacon and beans.

We offer you special rooms for your family so you all can stay together in a private room. Your children are not paying the whole price, until the age of 5 years children are staying for free, until the age of 12 they get a 50% discount. You can check all of our prices here…

At all of our Hostels/Hotels (except for Cologne) we offer parking spaces for your car. In Berlin (Hallesches Ufer, Tempelhofer Ufer, Meininger Straße) you don’t even have to pay to leave your car at our parking spaces. In Munich, Vienna, London and Hamburg our Hostels/Hotels have their own underground parking lot which you can book for a small fee. Our Hostels/Hotels and our receptions are open 24h. You get your own key card for your room and the main entrance so you can leave and get into our houses all the time. Take a look at our house rules for more information… (Please note that the reception at Tempelhofer Ufer in Berlin is closed at 2.30 p.m. After that just use our reception at Hallesches Ufer which is only on the other side of the street.)

In our rooms and at all public areas there is a smoking ban. However, we have special areas for smokers, too (except for London).

There is no problem to bring your dog (or other pets) with you. For a flat rate of 5 € per day your dog can stay at our Hostels/Hotels as well (except for London).

At MEININGER City Hostels and Hotels you get the quality of a hotel at prices of a hostel. We combine the advantages of hostels and hotels and offer our guests different possibilities for their stay. You can book a single rooms as well as a bed in a dormitory.

If you choose to book a bed in a dormitory you need a minimum age of 18 years. However, there is no maximum age. If you are under 18 years but you want to book a private room you only have to bring a written permission of your parents and a copy of their IDs.

Yes, in every city in Germany (e.g. Berlin, Munich, Cologne) a pollution badge for your car is necessary. You can get one at https://umwelt-plakette.de/plakettenshop.php or we suggest you to visit a car workshop of your car brand right after your entrance to Germany, so they can classify your car to the correct emission level and definition of the needed pollution badge.

Unfortunately it is not possible. If post is sent to one of our hostels, it will automatically arrive in our head office in Berlin due to a redirection.
