Bullysbakery
My favourite café is Bullysbakery. You can get there very easy from all our MEININGER hotels and it is near the Hermannplatz. In the middle of Kreuzkölln the city could not be livelier. Bullysbakery is the perfect place to relax from all the rush and watch the people. Enjoy a coffee party with friends with tasty cakes and many different muffins. Even the coffee is awesome. If you prefer hearty dishes, they also offer open baguettes and tartes flambees.

Fräulein Wild
There is the perfect doll house for all vintage lovers: Fräulein Wild. Pastel colours, cute accessories and happily mixed furniture: welcome to the café Fräulein Wild at Kottbusser Tor. The ambience is really sweet and so are the cakes. Handmade cakes, tortes and delicate breakfast – even vegan – make every guest happy. The drinks are great, too. I recommend the chai latte.

Westberlin
If you want to relax after a shightseeing tour at checkpoint charlie, you have to go to café Westberlin. It is furnished in a modern and fancy way but there is no cold atmosphere. There are many magazines, newspapers and books about design, music and culture that make you feel home. You can buy them or read them in the café. The coffee is absolutely great. If you want to eat, Westberlin offers a great variety of cakes, salads and sandwiches. It is the perfect place for a lunch break or an afternoon in a relaxed atmosphere. Thanks to the WiFi and plug sockets at the tables you can work easily all day long.

Meierei
My last insider’s tip is the Meierei – just a few minutes’ walk away from the MEININGER Hotel Berlin Alexanderplatz. Alpine specialities are waiting for you: hearty dumplings, pancake soup, cheese from switzerland, accompanied from a fresh Bavarian wheat beer – that is how the Alpines are. If you like sweets, you should try the apple strudel with cream. If you want to take the flavour of the Alpines home, just buy the alpines groceries.
