Despite the fact that this mainstream pop culture event has been around for decades internationally, it has only recently arrived to Denmark, and it’s been making waves ever since. Comic Con has quickly become the number 1 event for pop culture enthusiast in Northern Europe, and with its third edition this year, it promises a most exciting schedule yet!

Copenhagen Jazz Festival

6-15 July

The jazz event of the year in Northern Europe, gathering all, small and big names in the jazz world arena, with a varying program lasting over 3 weeks in Copenhagen’s most exciting locations. Copenhagen Jazz Festival is loved by locals and visitors alike.

Mikkeller Beer Celebration

11 May

Mikkeller Beer Celebration is a beer festival bringing together the most epic brewers from around the world, paired with incredible live music. Are you a beer lover? This way, please!


19 Aug

Ironmen of the world, unite! Test yourself in one of the most difficult fitness competitions in the world, in the capital of Scandinavia. If you’re not sweating, you’re not doing it right! For the other sport competitions of the year, see the Copenhagen Marathon on 13 May or the Half-marathon on 16 September.

30 May – 3 June

THE party of the year, happening on the streets, for 4 full days. If you’re looking to escape for a couple of days, this is your chance. With 2 days of party in the middle of Copenhagen, and 2 more days in the industrial harbour area of the city, Distortion boasts the best electronic music to shake it to.

Roskilde Festival

30 June – 7 July

The summer festival you can’t miss, Roskilde Festival brings together great tent-parties and big stage names all under one roof. Get into the party mode with the warm up days, and be ready to rock out with acts such as Bruno Mars, Fleet Foxes, Gorillaz and many  more.


21-23 June

When Copenhell freezes over, there is nothing else left other than pure rock and metal. Copenhell has quickly become a tradition for many metal fans, and is one of northern Europe’s leading metal festivals.

Copenhagen Pride

13 – 19 Aug

A celebration of love, culminating with the Pride Parade where over 30,000 people have marched last year, ending it all in an even bigger Pride party where all are welcome and everyone is guaranteed to have a good time.

Culture Night

12 Oct

The one night of the year when culture becomes cool, and all cultural institutions stay open until late, bidding everyone, young and old, big or small, welcome. So if you’ve always wanted to visit a museum in the night time, or check out a cool light installation after closing time, or maybe visit the zoo in the night – this is your chance!


Spring ’18

Picture a ski slope on top of a roof on top of a huge waste plant. Sound intriguing? We couldn’t agree more, and that’s why we can’t wait for the spring of this year when Copenhill, and with it, tons of urban activities including winter sports, finally opens up for everyone.
