Berlin has plenty of markets where you can grab something tasty and get a feel for the neighborhood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every Friday, you can visit the \u00d6komarkt at Lausitzer Platz<\/a><\/strong> in Kreuzberg. You\u2019ll find fruit and vegetables, baked goods, dairy products, and more from different organic farmers and traders. Another option is the \u00d6komarkt at Kollwitzplatz<\/a><\/strong> in Prenzlauer Berg, close to the MEININGER Hotel Berlin Alexanderplatz<\/a><\/strong>. Every Thursday, you\u2019ll find around 40 stalls selling fruit and vegetables, bread, cheese, prepared food, crafts, and more. Planning a picnic? Stop for a coffee<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Head to Berliner Kaffeer\u00f6sterei<\/a><\/strong><\/span> <\/span>in Charlottenburg. This family-run Berlin coffee roaster works directly with coffee producers and supports Berliner Stadtmission facilities for people experiencing homelessness with coffee and tea. Refill your water bottle<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Bring a reusable water bottle while you\u2019re out discovering Berlin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Berlin’s Refill Station<\/a><\/strong>, you can get free tap-water refills at participating caf\u00e9s, shops, and other locations. Just look for the Refill sticker or use the online map to find a nearby spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take a day trip to the Spreewald<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Need a little break from the city?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Head to the Spree Forest<\/strong><\/a>, an area known for its waterways, small villages, and famous Spreewald gherkins. Explore places like L\u00fcbbenau<\/a><\/strong> and Lehde<\/a><\/strong>, go for a walk, or rent a kayak and head out onto the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
