THE POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Revenue responsibilities and development of strategic plans for existing MEININGER Hotels with the individuality of each hotel
  • Identify trends and additional revenue opportunities through portfolio data analysis via MEININGER Reports, Market Vision Reports and Benchmarking Reports
  • Responsible for best practice standards to include: competitor analysis, environmental scanning, market modeling, distribution yield management, business mix yield management, length of stay yield management, inventory availability by channel, pricing control and new pricing concepts
  • Responsible for assessing, analyzing and pricing strategies
  • Participate in the analysis of comp set pricing, demand generators, and market conditions to properly price positioning
  • Identify compression dates, need dates, brand marketing / promotion initiatives
  • Provide monthly Strategy Reports that will assist in the evaluation of the appropriate booking horizon for proper pricing and inventory controls
  • Analyze overall monthly hotel performance and provide summary report with recommendations to improve long term strategies including annual budget and contract processes
  • Training, teaching and communication with Junior Revenue Manager to coordinate data analysis need and quality
  • Verify that discount segments are yielded properly during compression time frames and review with Junior Revenue Manager any inconsistencies to the set strategy
  • Produce mix of business analysis and make recommendations to Junior Revenue Manager to assist in achieving optimal mix
  • Daily pick-up analysis, strategy adjustments and reporting
  • Identify compression dates, need dates, brand marketing / promotion initiatives
  • Responsible for assessing, analyzing and pricing group business strategies
  • Regularly check the input and the quality of data (segmentation, denials tracking, etc...) points.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on Hotel Revenue Management experience.
  • A strong command of both written and spoken English and German is required
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Hotel Management, Tourism or Economic Studies
  • Highly computer literate with an advanced level command of Excel
  • Knowledgeable of hotel technology: PMS, Channel Manager, GDS, CRS, Extranets
  • Business Development DNA and commercially-minded.
  • Strong sense of need for achievement of goals and success.
  • Sound ability and knowledge to develop standards of operations and strategic processes
  • Good analytical and numeric skills for fast data crunching.
  • Good listening skills and the ability to anticipate business needs.
  • Capacity to read situation, understand environments and respond accordingly
  • Capable of prioritizing between revenue generating actions and time consuming tasks with low yield impact.
  • High level of motivation, determination and commitment.
