Alles o.k., da wir so kurzfristig gebucht hatten, war der Preis etwas höher. Für die nächste Reise werden wir uns früher entscheiden.
They changed my reservation to the East Side Gallery which was in a great location. The staff were friendly and the facilities great but I did not realise it was a hotel rather than a hostel. There was no social vibe or activities and I do not recommend it to solo travellers. Room 226 was incredibly hot at night and uncomfortable to sleep in.
Hotel was lovely, staff very friendly and helpful. We had a 6-berth family room, which was fairly spacious and more than adequate for us all. Very central location - so easy to get around and helpful maps at reception too. Close to lovely park too, which was a bonus with the children.Had breakfast every morning - lots of choice, the food was always lovely and fresh and very good value. Was a great help that they had reduced breakfast rates for children too, which was excellent, as they never eat very much!We would definitely stay there again, thank you!
The Oranienburger Straße was and still is a lively hot-spot of Berlin. For centuries artists, business people and scientists have met here. The famous natural scientist Alexander von Humboldt lived in Oranienburger Straße in the 19th century. In fact, in the very place where the hotel stands today. In this area, steeped in history, the MEININGER Berlin Mitte "Humboldthaus" creates a special monument to the all-round genius: A colourful Humboldt mural in the dining room and oversized Humboldt comics in the lobby and hallways connect the past with the present.
It doesn’t get more central than this: The MEININGER Hotel Berlin Mitte "Humboldthaus" receives its guests directly on Oranienburger Straße. Here visitors to Berlin are offered affordable accommodation with excellent service and a great atmosphere.
Many of Berlin’s sightseeing attractions are right in front of the MEININGER Hotel’s door: Hackescher Markt, the Museum Island, the Brandenburg Gate – they can all be reached by foot within a few minutes. The excellent train connections enable quick travel to other quarters of Berlin.
As multifaceted as Berlin-Mitte is for tourists, so too are the guests at MEININGER Hotel “Humboldthaus” also very diverse. For youth groups, Interrail travellers or students it is a comfortable alternative to a hostel. Due to its central location it is a perfect district for a business trip, parents with children find family friendly accommodation with modern facilities. In a MEININGER Hotel everyone simply feels good!
Well-nourished after a delicious breakfast buffet at the MEININGER hotel, backpacker art fans set off to visit the many contemporary galleries and museums in Berlin-Mitte. City breaks are fun!
The central location of the MEININGER Hotel is also ideal for business trips: Business travellers can quickly get to their appointments on foot or with public transport, relieved that they can leave their own car parked in the hotel’s underground carpark.
Did the family day trip in the park get a bit wild and the kids’ clothes get dirty? No problem! At the MEININGER hotel washing machines and dryers are ready for you to use to wash your dirty clothes on your trip. In the in-between time you can use the guest kitchen to make your favourite food.
