I hung "do not disturb" on my door, but it seem to be ignored and took it off. The room still "be disturb" and didn't put the card back to the room.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It's clean, staff are helpful and room was very nice. It's right next door to the train station and only one stop from Amsterdam central. I will be returning to this hotel for my next trip there.
The location of the hotel is very good just beside the train station and the grocerry shop. Acually is a hostel with high standard. The worst thing is a vent running all day and night.
I traveled and stayed with two others in a triple room, the room seemed really small for what we paid for. As it was me, my girlfriend and her sister we decided to move two of the single beds together to make a double bed, when doing this we found rubbish, socks, tissues and other things on the floor which were previously under one of the other beds, I took a picture and showed it to reception in which the man i spoke to said there are no cleaners in the building at the moment and that he would let someone know for the morning after writing our room number down which was 116.From the evidence of any cleaner being in only the single bed sheets had been changed or just folded, bin was emptied and 1 of our sweets was stolen, the rubbish i reported was just left there and the sheets for the other beds were untouched. So overall I wasn't impressed with the room or the cleaners, Staff were sometimes helpful but sometimes ignorant, one of the positives was the breakfast although i think 7 euro per person per day is more expensive than i feel it should be for what you get and the quality of the foods.I only recommend and would use MEININGER Hotels again because of my stay in Frankfurt, Germany in which i traveled with two others, the experience was better and staff were nicer.

By the way: As soon as they come into the lobby of the MEININGER Hotel Amsterdam the guests are already immersed in the world of the Old Masters. The modern interior is inspired by the colours and forms of Vincent van Gogh.
