Methodology

To find out where artificial intelligence would go on holiday, MEININGER Hotels put the question to five AI systems: ChatGPT, Claude AI, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity AI. The basis for the analysis was the 100 German cities and the 100 European regions with the highest number of annual overnight stays (source: Regionalstatistik, Eurostat, 2024). The models scored these destinations on a scale from 0 to 100, and an average was then calculated per destination. The AI systems also nominated the events most worth seeing, which were scored on the same scale from 0 to 100.
