The position

  • Full responsibility for managing various projects from initial conception through to completion in Germany and/or other European countries where MEININGER is expanding
  • Develop, review and control a measurable and accountable schedule and critical path for each allocated
  • development project to ensure successful and timely implementation
  • Manage and establish project budgets including cost control and provide regular updates of all project cash flows, programs and project KPIs to senior management
  • Manage the internal and external stakeholders to satisfaction
  • Manage and coordinate the development of the MEININGER interior design process
  • Handle the contracting and tendering phase for MEI consultants/suppliers
  • Set up contract with FF+E contractor and monitor his performance on site
  • Handle approval of invoices and provide monthly report including cost report to the Project Director
  • Handle approval of architectural documents, construction drawings and other plans in line with company
  • standards and budgetary constraints
  • Coordinate and liaise with appointed external consultants, such as Interior Designers, M&E technical advisors and internal stakeholders
  • Manage the handover of the building, the implementation of FF&E and the handover to Operations

 

Your profile

  • Degree in a technical discipline such as Architecture, Construction Project Management, Design, Construction and/or Engineering
  • Proven track record (minimum 3 -5 years) in a project management function in construction (new build / refurbishment / fit-out), preferably in the hospitality sector, alternatively in retail, restaurants or other standardized real estate product
  • Ability to manage a diverse set of parties and to select, work with, and build successful relationships with a variety of
  • industry stakeholders
  • Experience with project planning tools, controlled budgets and project timelines
  • Systematic in the approach towards business with strong technical, time management and organizational skills
  • Passionate about standards and written Standard Operating Procedures
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented with the ability to see the bigger picture
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German, both oral and written, are critical, additional European language skills being beneficial

THE POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Revenue responsibilities and development of strategic plans for existing MEININGER Hotels with the individuality of each hotel
  • Identify trends and additional revenue opportunities through portfolio data analysis via MEININGER Reports, Market Vision Reports and Benchmarking Reports
  • Responsible for best practice standards to include: competitor analysis, environmental scanning, market modeling, distribution yield management, business mix yield management, length of stay yield management, inventory availability by channel, pricing control and new pricing concepts
  • Responsible for assessing, analyzing and pricing strategies
  • Participate in the analysis of comp set pricing, demand generators, and market conditions to properly price positioning
  • Identify compression dates, need dates, brand marketing / promotion initiatives
  • Provide monthly Strategy Reports that will assist in the evaluation of the appropriate booking horizon for proper pricing and inventory controls
  • Analyze overall monthly hotel performance and provide summary report with recommendations to improve long term strategies including annual budget and contract processes
  • Training, teaching and communication with Junior Revenue Manager to coordinate data analysis need and quality
  • Verify that discount segments are yielded properly during compression time frames and review with Junior Revenue Manager any inconsistencies to the set strategy
  • Produce mix of business analysis and make recommendations to Junior Revenue Manager to assist in achieving optimal mix
  • Daily pick-up analysis, strategy adjustments and reporting
  • Identify compression dates, need dates, brand marketing / promotion initiatives
  • Responsible for assessing, analyzing and pricing group business strategies
  • Regularly check the input and the quality of data (segmentation, denials tracking, etc...) points.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on Hotel Revenue Management experience.
  • A strong command of both written and spoken English and German is required
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Hotel Management, Tourism or Economic Studies
  • Highly computer literate with an advanced level command of Excel
  • Knowledgeable of hotel technology: PMS, Channel Manager, GDS, CRS, Extranets
  • Business Development DNA and commercially-minded.
  • Strong sense of need for achievement of goals and success.
  • Sound ability and knowledge to develop standards of operations and strategic processes
  • Good analytical and numeric skills for fast data crunching.
  • Good listening skills and the ability to anticipate business needs.
  • Capacity to read situation, understand environments and respond accordingly

  • Experience in hospitality, ideally in a busy hostel/bar or restaurant environment
  • Proven hands-on mentality
  • Flexibility regarding working times (including weekends and public holidays as well as early mornings or night shifts)
  • Ability to work under pressure and to stay calm and friendly
  • Ability to work in a team and on your own
  • Excellent communication skills in English and any further (European) languages being an advantage
  • Ideally, you have good knowledge of a front office system (e.g. ASSD, Fidelio)

Your tasks...

  • Development, implementation and coordination of the Digital Markleting Strategy for MEININGER across multiple channels (paid search, display advertising, content optimization, SEO, Affiliate Marketing, Social Media etc.)
  • Planning and management of omni-channel campaigns and actions on a superordinate level
  • Research of new products, services, trends, customer behavior and implementation of new ideas and innovations to continuously improve each digital channel
  • Definition, monitoring of key performance indicators and analysis of key trends (KPIs, ROI & competition check)
  • Collaboration with other departments to optimize the customer experience and to pursue the MEININGER brand strategy
  • Guide online specialists within the Marketing department.

You are...

  • A digital marketing professional passionate about the www with minimum three years' digital marketing experience
  • A specialist possessing solid knowledge of cutting-edge digital media marketing techniques and analytic tools in all fields of digital marketing, including Google Tools, Sistrix or Searchmetrix etc.
  • A creative thinker and an assertive problem solver with a strong analytical mind
  • An enthusiastic project manager who works proactively and achieves results
  • A teamplayer adapting flexibly to new situations and ready to take the lead on projects and initiatives
  • A talented communicator in possession of very good German and English skills.
