Very nice hotel but narrow beds
The hotel is cosy comfortable and modern. The staff was really helpful and friendly. The hotel is well kept too.
This is the second time I stay at the hotel, I can say that the rooms do not have good acoustic protection. The noise of the fire doors banging is very loud.
it was great.
First of all, the room smell awful! It is a heavy, gross smell. At first I thought was because there was a woman living for 4 months in my room (and maybe it really is), but I noticed that the main
best bfast and room are spacious. shower amenities and shower room, bathroom is beg and spacious.Customer service specially in the restautant are great.
A German chain of hotels aimed at the modern urban traveler. The hotel is fairly no frills which I guess is what most people prefer these days since any kind of product or service will be available
We stayed 3 nights and we liked very much this hotel. Everything was perfect.
Milan is a city that never stands still. It is the central transport hub of northern Italy where locals and tourists come together. The commercial comings and goings create a cosmopolitan hustle and bustle which is especially reflected at the Garibaldi train station and other train stations in the city.
The design of the MEININGER Milano Garibaldi picks up on the dynamic of the city and its trains. The interior is reminiscent of train carriages and train stations and creates a clever interpretation of the themes that keep the city moving: speed, networking and the drive of the modern age.
Due to its convenient location Milan is a hub of Europe. Every day countless city break travelers arrive in the Po Valley, whether it is for one night on a wold trip or a extended holiday. At MEININGER business travelers, class trips, tour groups, families and Interrail travelers can find affordable and modern accommodation for one or several nights. Guests can rest in the fantastic and international atmosphere and recuperate from the hustle and bustle of the big city and the tiring travel.
Modern backpackers go shopping in the fashion district Quadrilatero d’Oro. Luckily the MEININGER dormitories are more affordable than the designer boutiques in the shopping district. And in the evenings backpackers can meet other travelers and discuss the best travel routes.
As well as fashion and lifestyle Milan is also the economic centre of Italy. Business travelers staying in one of the affordable single rooms at MEININGER, can quickly get to the futuristic business and banking district Porta Nuova.
Families can finish off their full day of sightseeing in one of the many restaurants around the property. Those guests who have to watch their money can simply make their authentic Italian pasta themselves in the MEININGER guest kitchen.
On a class trip in Milan? Then the Santa Maria della Grazie church is an absolute must see. Not only can school students stay in comfortable shared rooms, but the hotel also ensures that the class trips are professionally organised.
MEININGER Milano Garibaldi is located in the neighborhood of Simonetta, and part of a larger area that is close to the city center. This means there is a number of activities and landmarks to experience within a short distance from the hotel.
Just seconds from our hotel is a quirky museum called Museo del Profumo, which is devoted to the history of perfumes and displaying rare flasks and offering guided tours. Just don´t sample any of the really old perfumes if you´re planning to go on public transport later! In addition, there are some great places to grab food and drink nearby. High up on the list of things to try whilst you are here is a true Italian delicacy- ice cream! There are plenty of stalls in the local area that can offer a great selection.
Being near Garibaldi train station and with great connections to the whole of the Milan, it doesn´t take much time to be near some of the great landmarks in this magical metropolis. For families, why not check out the Civic Aquarium of Milan which displays native and global aquatic flora and fauna as well as a library devoted to marine biology: a really popular destination with kids.
Further to this, no trip to Milan is complete without experiencing a few of the most beautiful and historically fascinating churches in the whole of Europe. San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore dates all the way back to the 16th century, and displays awe-inspring biblical frescoes. It is just a short commute from us. Another superb architectural wonder nearby is Santa Maria delle Grazie, which displays Leonardo Da Vinci´s “The Last Supper”, which is no doubt on many people`s bucket list to behold- "magnifico".
