Rome, the Eternal City, has inspired countless directors over the years. Here Anita Ekbert enjoyed “La Dolce Vita” and Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck rode vespas through the city in “Roman Holiday”. Julia Roberts visited modern Rome in “Eat Pray Love” and Daniel Craig aka “James Bond” pursued shady characters in “Spectre”. At MEININGER city break travelers are in exactly the right place to find traces of Hollywood because the interior design is totally devoted to cinema. Here cinema lovers can immerse themselves in the sparkling world of the stars and look behind the scenes of the film world.

There is so much to do that it may seem like you don't have enough time to experience it all. We are in a great location in terms of public transport: Castro Pretorio underground station is just 2 minutes walk away. On the list to experience should be the Park of Colle Oppio, an invigorating green space that features some great historic attractions including "The Baths of Titus" and "The Baths of Trajan", which are part of a villa once occupied by the Roman Emperor Nero.
Moving closer into the center of Rome and nearer to the River Tiber, there is the Piazza Navona. This elegant city square which dates all the ways back to the 1st century A.D. offers some fantastic bars, artistic displays, galleries and restaurants. In addition, it is right next to one of the world’s, let alone Rome’s, most iconic monuments, in the Pantheon. After experiencing this wonder, you will also be able to visit Quirinal Palace nearby, a former residence for religious and royal leaders.
There are a number of activities and fun experiences to take in whilst here, including some of the local pizzerias and delis which offer a bite to eat when you don't want to travel far. In addition, whilst staying here it is great idea to visit the Basilica del Sacro Cuore di Gesù church, an awe-inspiring sight that is often the highlight of many guest’s trips. Also, within this locality is the church of Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri and the art museum named Indipendenza Art Gallery, that will surely invigorate your trip and get you in the mood for experiencing this historic city of art.
Check-in at MEININGER Roma Termini is from 3:00 PM, and check-out is until 11:00 AM.
