Your Tasks:

  • You work closely with the Pre-Opening Team to ensure timely opening of the hotel
  • You bring the team on board and create engaging and productive work environment

MANAGER CORPORATE ACCOUNTING (f/m)

to lead the General Ledger and Tax & Treasury functions and provide guidance and advise to the business in regards to IFRS and GAAP.

This is a full-time permanent position, reporting to Head of Finance.

 

YOUR AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

General Ledger Month Close

  • Month end activities for General Ledger, Tax & Treasury
  • Fixed Asset Accounting for IFRS and material refurbishment
  • IC & RP reconciliation
  • Reconciliation of CAPEX with Project Controlling

External reporting & financial statements

  • IFRS Group Accounts preparation
  • Preparation of external reporting
  • Management of statutory financial statements (local GAAP)
  • Collaboration with Accounting Agencies for foreign entities

Leading the Team

  • Responsibility for employee recruitment, development and engagement
  • Fostering employee motivation and performance through guidance and coaching
  • Focus on team high performance and results-orientation

Technical Guidance & Support

  • Technical guidance in IFRS and local GAAP to the Finance department
  • Development, implementation and maintenance of systems, procedures and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines
  • Key User for Consolidation Tool
  • Main contact for Auditors and Tax advisors

 

YOUR PROFILE

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in an international Finance environment
  • Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Extensive knowledge in Group Accounting, IFRS & local GAAP and good Tax knowledge
  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
  • Experience in managing a team
  • Analytical thinking, energetic, pragmatic but with the right attention to detail, hands-on
  • Able to structure and prioritize big workload whilst working under high pressure
  • Ability to train, mentor and provide feedback as well as motivate people in a quickly growing business environment
  • Very good oral and written communication skills in English & local language

  • You act as a great host and create a memorable stay for our guests
  • You are in charge of welcome and good-bye process from A to Z, managing check-ins and check-outs to create best experience for our guests and optimize hotel occupancy 
  • You respond to our guests' personal and phone enquiries and provide advice regarding local attractions, activities and additional services 
  • You take care of operational and administrative tasks: invoicing, hour registration, online reputation management, quality checks etc. 
  • You are regularly checking the hotel during the night 
  • You work in a team and are ready to take on occasional tasks in the F&B area (breakfast, dinner, bar)

  • Reconciles with Accounts Receivable that project invoices are raised according to contract
  • Maintain fact sheet for projects and align with Project Management
  • Develop and prepare overall project cost reconciliation and generate the CAPEX report
  • Develop, implement and maintain systems, procedures and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines
  • Deliver professional support for all departments with cost controlling of projects

 

Your Profile

  • Master's degree in Economics with additional trainings/studies in Controlling
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in an international Finance environment with significant Project Controlling & budget experience
  • Excellent Excel-skills, knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage
  • Analytical thinking, energetic, pragmatic but with the right attention to detail and with a strong hands-on-mentality
  • Team player with the ability to structure and prioritize workload whilst working under given timelines

Your Profile

  • Completed studies in facility management, product management, hotel management or comparable and minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position
  • Proven experience of project management
  • Well-structured, timely and target-oriented way of working with a pronounced hands-on-mentality
  • Thinking "out of the box" and working in a creative way to find solutions and contributing in a proactive manner
  • Proficient use of MS Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Fluency in English and German, additional European languages are an advantage

Your Tasks

  • Deliver services across HR Administration, Payroll and HR Systems in a consistent and compliant way
  • Drive international payroll implementation across the business and work closely with payroll provider
  • Lead a team of HR Administrators to deliver an effective and efficient customer focused service to meet the evolving needs of MEININGER
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, tools and solutions to enhance effectiveness and ensure compliance of HR processes across multiple countries

Your Profile

  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable with data analytics and reporting
  • Stakeholder management and customer orientation
  • Project management skills and proven experience of working to deadlines and the ability to prioritise effectively

The position

  • Full responsibility for managing various projects from initial conception through to completion in Germany and/or other European countries where MEININGER is expanding
  • Develop, review and control a measurable and accountable schedule and critical path for each allocated
  • development project to ensure successful and timely implementation
  • Manage and establish project budgets including cost control and provide regular updates of all project cash flows, programs and project KPIs to senior management
  • Manage the internal and external stakeholders to satisfaction
  • Manage and coordinate the development of the MEININGER interior design process
  • Handle the contracting and tendering phase for MEI consultants/suppliers
  • Set up contract with FF+E contractor and monitor his performance on site
  • Handle approval of invoices and provide monthly report including cost report to the Project Director
  • Handle approval of architectural documents, construction drawings and other plans in line with company
  • standards and budgetary constraints
  • Coordinate and liaise with appointed external consultants, such as Interior Designers, M&E technical advisors and internal stakeholders
  • Manage the handover of the building, the implementation of FF&E and the handover to Operations

 

Your profile

  • Degree in a technical discipline such as Architecture, Construction Project Management, Design, Construction and/or Engineering
  • Proven track record (minimum 3 -5 years) in a project management function in construction (new build / refurbishment / fit-out), preferably in the hospitality sector, alternatively in retail, restaurants or other standardized real estate product
  • Ability to manage a diverse set of parties and to select, work with, and build successful relationships with a variety of
  • industry stakeholders
  • Experience with project planning tools, controlled budgets and project timelines
  • Systematic in the approach towards business with strong technical, time management and organizational skills
  • Passionate about standards and written Standard Operating Procedures
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented with the ability to see the bigger picture
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German, both oral and written, are critical, additional European language skills being beneficial
