The experience at the hotel has been very good. The facilities, the location, the cleanliness, the service ... everything. A highly recommended hotel.
Lovely clean hotel. Staff welcoming, friendly and helpful. Great spacious room. Perfect location, walking distance to St. Catherine. Great atmosphere in the bar.
We stayed 3 nights in the hotel, very good location near the centre of Brussels at a walking distance from almost every important place in the city. Room was comfortable and family-friendly. The first
Well-thougth out infrastructure (rooms, accomondation etc.), great breakfast. Thank you!
Modern, energetic and still calm ;–)
The staff was normal but the cleaning service was very very bad! I will never repeat with them again...
The hotel is really comfortable. We only had to share the bathroom between 6 people so that is really good. Only thing I wished we could’ve left our luggage before time for free.
Loved and demonised, but always in the centre stage: Brussels is famous for its diverse street art, which can be discovered on many walls around the city. During the renovation of the historical brewery building, the hotel architects discovered leftovers of a street art event. On the spot MEININGER was inspired and fitted out the Hotel Bruxelles City Center with the theme “The Urban Artists Home”. 20 graffiti artists from all over Europe contributed with original works that can be appreciated everywhere in the hotel, giving it a big-city flair!
Europe, Australia, Asia, America or Africa: no matter which continent guests come from, everyone is totally welcome at the MEININGER Hotel Bruxelles City Center. Backpacker tourists on a city break, Interrail travelers on a big tour, families with children and business travelers - everyone finds an affordable hotel with modern facilities at MEININGER Hotel Bruxelles City Center. The very special MEININGER atmosphere makes the visitors from all around the world feel like they are right at home.
Backpackers are inspired by the street art in the lounge of the MEININGER hotel before heading out into the hustle and bustle of the city. The modern dormitories are an affordable alternative to a hostel. Free lockers in the rooms are available at all times to keep valuables safe.
Business travellers can enjoy the industrial charm of the old building’s architecture at the bar on the terrace in front of the hotel. And at the same time they can check their emails without any hassles using the free WiFi.
Young families, who have watch their travel budget, not only find the accommodation affordable at MEININGER, but they can also prepare their own meals in the well-equipped guest kitchen.
MEININGER Hotel Bruxelles City Center is located in Sint-Jans-Molenbeek, which is one of 19 municipalities found in Brussels. The local neighborhood in which the hotel is located is right on the border with Annessens and Quartier des Quais to the east. There are a number of landmarks and experiences just in the local area alone which you can check out whilst you`re staying with us.
For instance there is the La Fonderie asbl museum and the Marie José Park a little further away, but still within walking distance. There is also a public swimming pool nearby called Pool Louis Namèche. If you´re interested in experiencing a little bit of the history of Brussels then the Castle Karreveld is nearby as well. Dating back to the 16th or 17th century, it also has park and a pond.
This MEININGER hotel and Sint-Jans-Molenbeek is well connected with the other nearby neighborhoods and the city of Brussels as a whole, with Comte de Flandre metro station just 6-7 minutes walk away.
Furthermore, the area of Quartier des Quais is just a 10-15 minute walk and has plenty to see and experience. There is a delightful church there that was constructed in a Flemish Baroque style during the 17th century called the Béguinage Church. There is also a cinema in this locality if you would like to go and see something a bit more modern. A little further eastwards lies other great places to visit incling La Monnaie De Munt, the performing arts theatre which stages opera, dance and musics shows. In addition, you will find some great museums nearby including the Museum of Natural Sciences, Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and Military History and House of European History.
