Bio Burgermeister – The best burger in town
For a true burger fan Austria might be a tricky place, but lighten up if you’re in Salzburg. Two outlets of Burgermeister serve you burgers with tasty bread buns and organic meat in 13 different styles starting from 4,50€. Good news for vegetarians and vegans: there are special burgers with tofu or feta cheese on the menu. Also check out the Ayurveda burger with delicious veggies inside. Gabler Bräu – Traditional cuisine in Linzergasse
A spacious restaurant with colorful details and a modern bar. The Gabler Bräu has many tradional Austrian specialities on the menu (for example Tafelspitz, Wiener veal Schnitzel, Beef Gulasch, etc.). Gasthaus zur goldenen Kugel
This historic restaurant in the middle of the old town will take you back in time. Around 1700 it was already a restaurant known under the name of „Guglbräu“ and only recently renovated and reopened as „Zur goldenen Kugel“. Expect dark wooden walls, a number of oil paintings and traditional cuisine for a fair price. The room at the back offers a nice view over the river. Reservations for larger groups are welcome as there are several big rooms.
