You'll find the MEININGER Hotel Salzburg City Center located in the neighborhood of Parsch, which is part of the city center, offering lots of opportunities to engage in fun activities, see beautiful buildings and taste some delicious Austrian cuisine. We've also got excellent transport links with bus stops being just outside the hotel and the Salzburg Central Station being just a short ride away. Buckle up!
Only 2.5 km away from our hotel, on the other side of the Salzach, you'll discover the most famous attractions of the city: the birthplace of Mozart in the Getreidegasse, the Mozartplatz and the Festival Hall.
There are a number of monuments closeby, as well, that are worth checking out, including some beautiful churches like the Parish Church St. Andrä and Dreifaltigkeitskirche Church with its large, dome fresco. You can also visit many places that pay homage to Mozart, including the Mozart-Wohnhaus which is his old home now containing some fascinating artefacts and memoribilia. Can you hear the Symphony No. 40 in G minor already?
Tip: make sure to explore the neighboring districts of Parsch, too, such as Lehen in the north-west, Salzburg-Aigen in the south and the mountainous areas in the east!
We're located at the edge of Kapuzinerberg park, which is an idyllic and peaceful natural spot, fantastic for any traveler or families of travelers looking for some chilling-out time in Salzburg. The Salzach River runs at the west of the park, serving as a natural border between the east and west of Salzburg itself. In terms of food, there's a huge variety of different restaurants and places for you to try out, from cafes to pubs to European and Asian restaurants.
For those of you, backpackers or young people, who want to just burn off some energy, there's plenty of options, too! Just a short walk from the hotel there is a go-kart track, a bowling alley and a rock-climbing gym. These are also great options for big groups in search of some competitive fun on their trip.
You can check in at the MEININGER Hotel Salzburg City Center from 3 PM and check out until 11 AM. For €15 more, you can use your room until 2 PM (only possible for private rooms).
Absolutely! There's a paid parking garage for you to use on-site. Just keep in mind that the maximum height of the garage is 2 m.
