Cooking Class During Coronavirus

MEININGER Cooking Class Quarantine Edition

Team cooking in quarantine

During these difficult times it was important for us as a team to find something positive and stay together despite corona and social distancing. We at MEININGER Milano Lambrate came up with the virtual Cooking Competition. Never miss the opportunity to stay strong and close as team  and keep working on it even with the distance. In order to keep team united every Thursday we organize virtual Cooking Competition. The idea for this game came from our manager and the goal is to stay close with all colleagues even during  these difficult period while cooking together. The winner of the previous week chooses the food theme, each of us need to prepare a dish of our choice close to the that week thematic. At the end our manager judges the creativity and the look of the dish and elect a winner who can choose the food theme for the following Thursday’s appointment.

Cooking Class

Thursday has become a day we are looking forward, a day when we catch up, see our colleagues, we inspire ourselves, exchange news and of course cook together, while waiting to get back to work together. For us video call is not only a place of communication but a real place where we hang and do things together. The work uniform became a kitchen uniform, dish review replaced the review from our guest, but hopefully not for a long time, as we can’t wait to go back to our work place, put on our recognizable red MEININGER uniform and welcome our guests.

Cooking Class

Being strong and consolidated team is essential for us, it help us to create a positive and favorable atmosphere on the work place. We care about the idea of creating and cultivating relationships with each other even from a distance and trying to keep the group together even in the most challenging situation.

Here our latest recipe:

  • 2 cups of patience
  • 1 cup full of love
  • 4 spoons of understanding
  • 1 cup of smile
  • 3 spoons of caring

Mix all ingredients and share with your loved ones.

Visiting Milan soon?

The old town, the fashion district Quadrilatero d'Oro, or the financial district Porta Nuova: Milan has so much to offer. Just like the centrally located MEININGER houses at the Garibaldi and Lambrate train stations.
