You were in Amsterdam a week ago, today you`re in Rome, tomorrow it will be Brussels and possibly Berlin next week! Even the globetrotter needs a place to rest their head at night and recover that wanderlust spirit! At MEININGER, this sense of adventure it part of our DNA and we have been welcoming backpackers since the day we started service. They come to us because we offer affordable rooms with modern facilities. This includes features like a guest kitchen and 24 hour reception as well as a joyful atmosphere!
Our Guest Kitchen
Essential to any globetrotter on a budget is finding a way to eat affordably. MEININGER knows this and that is why our hotels have a guest kitchen they can use to cook their meals before they set off into city! It is also a great area to meet other like-minded travellers. (Not available in Berlin Mitte, London and Vienna Central Station).
Bathroom en suite
Some down sides of travelling on a budget is staying in poor accommodation where you even have to walk the hallways at night to find a toilet or look for a shower in the morning! But this is not a problem at MEININGER. Our rooms, whether it´s private or multi-bed, come with a shower/WC and much more.
If it´s a rainy day and you don´t fancy going out in the city but equally you don´t want to get bored in your room alone, check out the game zone! Here you can feel the competitive spirit with your fellow backpackers, challenge each other to a table football tournament or play a board game.
Washing Machine and Dryer
If you are exploring the sights, sounds and smells of this wonderful world then you can guarantee some clothes are going to end up dirty. That is not an issue at MEININGER- in fact we encourage it! It´s all part of the adventure. We offer washing machines and dryers in our guest kitchen that you can use for a small fee. (Not available in Berlin Mitte & Vienna Central Station).
As a backpacker, you want to see and absorb everything you can on your travels. MEININGER helps you in this mission by ensuring all our hotels are in the centre of the city. This means you can check out all the landmarks and tourist attractions. Also, if you want to travel further out, we are placed right next to excellent public transport links!

I has a good time there and it was really cheap
We had a great experience here! The staff were very hospitable and available, Juan Diego was especially helpful on numerous occasions. The rooms were very clean and so was the lobby space & kitchen.
The shower had some problems with the water pressure.
The best hotel to stay in Brussels for couple days. Comfort rooms, especially separate bathroom. Atmosphere inside the hotel was great. Not far from centre of the city - it takes about 20 minutes by
