Modern hotel and good for it's price. Very good photobooth in the common area, made really beautiful pictures!
We were on a room for 3 prepared for disabled people. The toilet were not perfect and the water usually slipped out. Nevertheless it was compensated by the sice of the bathroom.
Expected accomodation, however this time the room was dirty (hairs etc. on the bed, obviously the bed was not cleaned before). Not really satsfying as i had good experience before with other locations
We had a great time in the city and the hotel was really comfortable and welcoming. Excellent choice in the breakfast buffet.
room pretty small, not very clean. the duvet was dirty.the bar and reception service pretty poor: long lines and the personell was not always there
Nice youth hotel with good location, good facilities and nice staff.

Between the Oberbaum bridge and Ostbahnhof is the longest remaining piece of the Berlin Wall, which was immortalised by over 100 East and West German artists after reunification. The street art of the “East Side Gallery” tells the story of the radical political change and reunification. Opposite the impressive open air gallery MEININGER celebrates the exuberant lust for life of the early nineties. The graffiti and interior architecture are reminiscent of new beginnings and progress which gives the hotel a sense of the euphoria of the unification. Be united!

The district of Friedrichshain is home to MEININGER Hotel Berlin East Side Gallery and there is nowhere in the city quite like this place so come and discover it! This area is perhaps most famed for what lies just opposite to our hotel, the East Side Gallery: a political mural symbolizing the reunification of East and West Germany and the fall of the Berlin Wall. It is the longest open air gallery in the world, 1316 m in length, and can be found between Ostbahnhof and the Oberbaum bridge. The wall itself is covered in a magnificent and eclectic mix of artworks from around 100 different artists. It is visited by over 3 million people a year for a reason, so make sure you are one of the lucky ones to see this beautiful monument to unity and art!
Friedrichshain has a youthful, punky vibe so it is the perfect place for a MEININGER hotel to be based in. There are a number of lively and trendy nightclubs in the local vicinity that all do a great job of blasting out the latest techno, house and club music. If you are looking for a party in Berlin, this is a great area to find one.
If you are looking for some areas that are a little more chilled, then Friedrichshain can provide that to. There is Volkspark Friedrichshain park and garden with its winter toboggan run, 50 meter swimming pool and idyllic ponds. There is also the Urban Spree art gallery, representing urban cultures in order to foster peace in the community, a multitude of thirst quenching beer gardens and appetizing restaurants to experience! Transport within and out of this district is easy and affordable, with our MEININGER hotel just seconds away from Berlin Ostbahnhof train station.
