The Oranienburger Straße was and still is a lively hot-spot of Berlin. For centuries artists, business people and scientists have met here. The famous natural scientist Alexander von Humboldt lived in Oranienburger Straße in the 19th century. In fact, in the very place where the hotel stands today. In this area, steeped in history, the MEININGER Berlin Mitte "Humboldthaus" creates a special monument to the all-round genius: A colourful Humboldt mural in the dining room and oversized Humboldt comics in the lobby and hallways connect the past with the present.
As multifaceted as Berlin-Mitte is for tourists, so too are the guests at MEININGER Hotel “Humboldthaus” also very diverse.
